Gdev newz caught up with nscdc boss, Ondo Command and had a brief chat over their roles, state of the paramilitary unit and their preparatory level ahead of the upcoming Ondo gubernatorial elections in the state.

SIR, please may we get to know you?

My name is commandant Adeyinka, commandant, Nigeria Civil Defense Corp, Ondo Command.

As you know, we are grassroot organisation and there is no problem here in Ondo state. We are really doing our best to secure everyone and everywhere safe in the state.

Sir, is it true you are role taking the place of the Nigeria police force everywhere you are in the country, because you are suppose to be a paramilitary right? But would you say you are active than the police force in the country?

Laugh out loud. I leave Nigerians to be the judge of that. All we are really concerned about here is our own command and we are trying our best to do our duties well.

Sir, Gdev News is in Akure now because of the forthcoming primaries in the state. How prepared is the Nigeria Civil Defense in the state on security measures?

We are not just hearing about election in the state so we are well prepared and fully on ground, even from our national headquarters we have been receiving correspondences, we are just waiting for the primaries and guber election. And of course, my men will perform excellently well.

Do you have any challenges running this command sir?

Well, challenges are everywhere but we just have to do what we have to do.

Your message to people of Ondo state would be?

The people of Ondo state should remain calm and fearless during and after the election. We the security agents are here to safe guard them, he concluded.
